Public consultations on green and ecological space in the city of Ostrołęka as part of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program
On the initiative of the Mayor of the City of Ostrołęka, Paweł Niewiadomski, on April 3, 2026, public consultations were launched as part of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program.
The subject of the consultation is to collect opinions, comments and proposals of residents regarding the development of public space in the city of Ostrołęka, in particular in the field of:• selection of vegetation (trees, shrubs, perennials and other elements of greenery),• elements of small architecture (m.in. benches, waste bins),• appearance, function and vegetation of the pergola at Steyera Street,• deconcreting of the parking lot at Prądzyńskiego Street,• proposals for land development at ul. Copernicus and giving a name to the rain garden.
The aim of the consultation is to learn the opinions of residents and involve them in the process of planning and shaping green urban spaces, in a way that meets the needs of the local community and the principles of sustainable development, as well as to build social identification with the project of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program.
The consultations will be conducted from 3 April 2026 to 24 April 2026 (inclusive) in the form of collecting comments in writing using the consultation form (paper forms available at the Ostrołęka City Hall) and the online form on the https://mieszkamwostrolece.pl/szwajcar_ekologia website, via electronic means of communication.
An open consultation meeting with the residents of Ostrołęka and the Rzekuń Commune will take place on April 17, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the A. Gołaś Sports and Entertainment Hall at R. Traugutta Street in Ostrołęka.
The completed form must be submitted between 3 April 2026 and 24 April 2026 (inclusive) as follows:
- deliver to the filing office of the Ostrołęka City Hall - Plac gen. J. Bema 1, 07-410 Ostrołęka or Kościuszki 45, 07-410 Ostrołęka,
- send in the form of a scan to the e-mail address: um@um.ostroleka.pl
- send to the Municipal Office in Ostrołęka, Plac gen. J. Bema 1, 07-400 Ostrołęka (in the case of submitting the form in paper form, the date of receipt of the parcel to the Town Hall in Ostrołęka counts to meet the deadline)
- filling in the online form on the https://mieszkamwostrolece.pl/szwajcar_ekologia website by means of electronic communication.
