The Centre for Youth Initiatives – a place created for young people
Before creating the project, Paweł Niewiadomski – the Mayor of the City of Ostrołęka met with young people to learn about their expectations. It is planned to be a place for various types of workshops and meetings, where everyone will find something for themselves – regardless of whether they are interested in art, music or social activities. The center meant to reflect the ideas of young people and to grow and develop together with their needs and interests.
Equally important is what will happen outside. The building's surroundings will be designed to encourage relaxation and outdoor activities. A winter garden will be created, ideal for quiet conversations even on colder days, a rain garden full of greenery and natural materials, and a salt cave where you can calm down and catch your breath.
The aim is to create a place you will want to return to – friendly, open and designed so that young people have their own space to act, develop and build relationships.
For the construction of this place, we have obtained funding from the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Program. We will allocate about PLN 14 million for this purpose.
